Joe the Plumber

Three cheers for Joe the Plumber. He is the perfect example of the kind of voter that the liberal Democrats have forgotten.

Instead of standing up for the blue collar workers, idiots such as Joe Biden, Obama, Pelosi and others treat him as someone not in their league.

These liberal Democrats act as though they are the lady bountifuls- come to love us and take of us--well guess what--I do not need anyone to be nice to be and take care of me-only to dismiss me behind closed doors.

These liberal Democrats take the black vote for granted, and now they think they can take the blue collar vote for granted--they better wake up--

Because the time will come when we will rise up and flock to the Republican Party- we did it when Reagan was in office and we will do it again, and maybe the next time, we will not return.

Why not Palin

I was going to pass on this years election.

I am not satisfied with Obama and Biden, and I was kind of iffy on McCain.

The Democratic controlled Senate and House has been a failure-Pelosi and her band of crazies have failed on their promises.

So what to do?
Well, maybe McCain will pick Lieberman and then I would have felt safe voting for McCain.

But lo and behold, McCain picks a little known governor from Alaska-Sara Palin. Hmmmm what is going on here.

Well I read all the stories and I liked what I read- here is a person who truly represents the people- she is not an elitist- she is a homebody- who took on the incumbent and won- she challenged the big wheels and the big money and upset Alaskan politics.

She is pro-life(as am I), pro 2nd amendment(as am I).
Despite the biased Wolf Blitzer and the rest of the biased crew of CNN- she has withstood the snide comments about being irresponsible and her daughter being pregnant-.

She and her husband are going to stand by their daughter_-Obama has said he would encourage his daughters to have abortions if they were to become pregnant.

Obama and Biden- two of the most liberal politicians on Capitol Hill- two politicians who are so far removed from middle class America- that their election would destroy what is left of the Middle class.

Sara Palin-- do not quit, stand up for what you believe and keep-a-going.

John McCain- you and Sara Palin have my vote- Good luck.

Democrats Don't Get It

I am listening to Obama criticize the Republicans proposals for off shore drilling, drilling in Alaska and drilling in the States.

The Democrats arguement is- it will not produce oil for atleast 5-10 years.

Well Wake Up!!!! This is the same position that was made 30 years ago, 20 years ago and 10 years ago!!
If the drilling was done back then- do you think we would be paying $4/gal for gas now--I do not think so!!
Obviously the Democrats have no idea of the mind set of the OPEC members.

If there is any hint that we were going to start drilling, and build more refineries- the members of OPEC will drop their price-- they will do anything to keep our dollars flowing-- I can noy believe that the Democrats are so ignorant.

The price of oil and gas

When will Congress, the White House, political leaders and the American people stand up and say "ENOUGH"!.

There is no reason why we should be paying over $100.barrel for oil and there is no reason we should be paying over $2.50/gallon for gas.

Iraq is pumping billions of gallons of oil-- where is it going--they owe us-- how about if they sold us oil at $50/.barrel.

And what about Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, they are counting on our sacrifices to protect them from Islamic terrorist, yet have the audacity to charge these kind of rates for oil.

As for Mexico-- here is the deal-- you give us access to your oil and we will not deport 5 million of your people .

Next-- let us start drilling in the Alaskan wilderness, off the Gulf Shores and anywhere else we have access to.

If the Mideast oil exporting countries do not like these terms- let them depend on China and India to defend them. Mexico- give us acces or roll out the welcome mat for 5 million of your expatriates.

Automakers- you have got to do your share also-- get you act together.

The American people-- WAKE UP!!!!! Ask, demand order your elected public services to do something.

Take control of the situation and take control of your lives.

Time for a transitional President

With Obama and Clinton attacking each other, and the threat of various Democrats threatening to vote for someone else instaed of thier favorite candidate-- it might be time for the Democrats to throw up their hands and risk losing this election.

Neither of the two were my first choice- and the way they are battling each other- I will have a problem voting for either one of them.

There has got to be better candidates in the Democrat Party.

Perhaps we should all vote for McCain- and hope that the country turns around(elect a Democratic majority Congress and Senate)- and if the country doesn't turn around- choose a Democrat in 2012 who is better qualified, and not carrying a lot of baggage.

John McCain for Transitional President- Why not.

Customer service-- a forgotten idea

A few months ago I ordered a pizza from Dominos-- the delivery guy did not have change for a twenty- and instead of getting a five dollar tip- he ended up with an 8 dollar tip.

I complained to Dominos about this scam-- don't you think that the drivers should have enough change on them to break a twenty for a twelve dollar order--One Would Think.

A complaint to the main headquarters led to a promise of a call from the Silver Spring Dominos-- three months later I am still waiting.

Meanwhile-- Papa Johns has been advertising their pan pizza.
I ordered one and it was not so good. The crust was burnt and had an off taste.

I emailed a complaint to their main headquarters- I received a response the same day from the local proprietor- he apologized and offered a free pizza in turn-- anykind I wished for.

The next day I ordered the spinach, chicken alfredo. It was excellent as was the customer service.

I will now add Papa johns to my list of good places for pizzas along with Armands, and Z-pizza.

Dominos will be added to my "S" list.

Clinton, Obama or McCain

I am a registered Democrat. This is no way means that I vote the Democratic ticket all the time.
I have voted for Gude, Morella, Reagan, Perot, Nader and many other candidates over the years.

This year I may vote for McCain.

I believe many democrats will do the same.
The reasoning-- We are sick and tired of the dirty politics of the Democrat front runners- we are sick of the bickering, the lies, the name calling and the mistaken belief that these two Democrats think they are qualified to be President.

I believe McCain would be a good transitional President- and maybe the Democrats will find someone four years from now more qualified and suitable to be President.

I can only hope.

Roger Clemens, Steroids, sports enhancement

Yesterday, Roger Clemens testified on Capitol Hill.

Now I know many people think he is guilty- but I take the position that he is innocent- How anyone can believe an admitted liar, drug dealer, and quack like McNamee is beyond me.

McNamee bought the drugs illegally, played doctor and administered the drugs, lied to the police, to investgaors and many others.

Until I hear it from the lips of Roger Clemens and he says that he used steroids, I will continue to believe that he is innocent.

Good luck to you Roger.

Obama or Clinton

I am still undecided about the election. Do I vote for Obama, Clinton or should I cast a vote for Edwards to show some kind of protest.

Although Clinton has more experience than Obama- do either one of them really expect to change anything.

We know they can not withdraw the troops within 6 months, a year or even two years.

We know there will not be a national health policy- Capitol Hill has been trying to pass some kind of Universal Health plan for over 40 years.

We know that no matter who wins-- the majority of of us will go on with our lives with no noticeable differences.

So I plan to vote in the primary- but I won't make up my mind until I walk into that booth.

Obama vs. Jesse Jackson

There is much dismissing of Obama's win in South Carolina by some of the liberal media-- comments such as".. he is a black candidate- so he was expected to win" or ..."Remember Jesse Jackson won South Carolina and did not get the nomination..." and there are others.

Well those people better watch out-- Jesse Jackson went to the 1988 Presidential Convention- in second palce with vote total and delegates.

Most important however- was the stirrring speech he gave. A speech that moved many people- a speech that Obama and John Edwards seem to be copying.

In his heyday Jesse Jackson was a force to be reckoned with.
Many people dismissed his candidacy and many Democratic big shots ignored his constituency-- these ignored Democrats-- became the blue collar Democrats that elected George Bush and Ronald Reagan.

Obama and John Edwards are stirring up these Democrats once more--

the Democrats have better stop the bickering and remember their roots if they expect to capture the White House.

How about "Now"!

Currently. Sens Obama and Clinton are proposing ideas for an economic stimulus. health care and other ideas.

If they both have such great ideas-- why are they telling us about them--
they are incumbents-- why are they not at work proposing these ideas-- a 90 day delay on foreclosures if elected- how about now before you are elected- change- how about doing something now about change-- not when you are elected.

Obama and Hillary should get their supporters together and rally at the White House gates- and proclaim "NOW!"

How about a march on the White House-- as for the Republican candidates-- McCain as an incumbent should join in- he is afterall a favorite of the Independents.

Politics aside-- if these liars were serious about running for the betterment of the country-- let them do it now.

The Primaries

The primaries have started, and it appears that there is no definite winner.

Although the Democratic Party appears to have two front runners- do not count John Edwards out.Obama has little experience, Hillary has a lot of baggage and they may end up duking it out and creating enough mayhem , that the voters may very well say --"Enough is enough-I will vote for Edwards".
John Edwards had provided most of the beef in the campaign so far- he has used less flowery slogans and more concrete ideas- 'Listen up people!"

Meanwhile--on the Republican side it is still a mishmash with no apparent winner.MaCain is on thr rise, Huckabee is a surprise-he is winningor doing better than expected- Romney is a surprise- he is doing worse than expected.

The big surprise is that Fred Thompson may surprise everyone and win South Carolina, and Guelianni may win Florida.

I think Romney will lose Michigan- and Super Tuesday may winnow the fields of both parties.

Meanwhile-- the US Congress has done nothing to benefit the working man or women-the Democrats are just as big of a failure as the Republicans were- giving more proof that we should pay our elected representatives less and give them smaller staff budgets to work with.

There should be no longterm financial incentive to stay in office- a fresh coat of paint is needed every few years.

Locally, Maryland is still facing massive deficits as is Montgomery County.

I do not know what the answer is- taxes have been raised, budget cuts are being suggested and there are still some crazies who think we should develop more land in order to increase population in order to increase our tax base. Hmmmm
The logic here is kind of scary.

It is getting more expensive to live in this state for many people- I have had three neighbors and a number of friends- who have left the state for cheaper living- I would like to join them but I have family in the area and I do not think my health insurance will follow me.

Another reason- I love Maryland and I hate to leave friends behind and I hate the thought of packing and moving.

So... I will stay and hope for the best for all of us who live in this great state- lets be nice to each other and help each other and keep an open mind.
