Which Democrat for President

Well the Iowa caucuses will soon be upon us.

Although they mean little in the final results- the media and the big donors think otherwise.

Shortly after Iowa will be the New Hampshire primaries-- again- most of America hold little belief in the outcome of this election.

I believe it is time for a National primary- pick a day- everyone votes- primaries are over- candidate selected, and the American people. and the media and the pundits can go on with their lives.

Now for something completely different.

Who should the Democratic nominee be?

Most of my friends know me as a Republican expounding-registered Democrat- sometime Libertarian with a hint of Anarchy person.

In the past I have voted Republican, Democrat, Green Party, Libertarian and Reform Party-- It all depends on what is going on in the world at the moment.

I have given money to the John Edwards campaign. I believe out of all the candidates-John Edwards has a true grasped of the issues of poverty, low wages and the abuse of big corporations.

The war in Iraq will eventually end- I do not support a full pullout- I am
more inclined in dividing the county into thirds, and letting each sect or nationality or tribe- whatever they call themselves have an equal piece of the pie.

Anyway== I think Hillary Clinton has the guts and the knowledge of what it takes to be President- but I do not see the compassion for the working class that I see in John Edwards.

I would suggest that every Democrat listen to what the candidates are proposing and make up your mind- I think that most of the progressive Democrats will choose Edwards.

A Menorah vs. Nativity Scenes

Where I live , ( a condo community) we have a Christmas Tree in the lobby , but no Nativity figures.

For Channukah there was a menorah--no protest

A Nativity Scene according to those in charge would offend people.
Hmmmm Christian Symbols offend people- but Jewish symbols don't.
Who are the ones finding these symbols offensive?

I can not believe that the Jews would be upset-- and if there are any pagans or Islams in the complex- I do not care if they are upset-- but would'nt they be upset with the Menorah.?

There are too many crazies in this world who get upset over trivial matters- my advice to them-- grow up and get a life!

Holiday Rudeness

Well, the Christmas Holidays are approaching, which means it is time now for all the thieves, crooks and rude obnoxious people to come out of the woodwork.

Crowded parking lots, crowded department stores, crowded grocery stores. Shoving, pushing, grabbing short tempers and long lines.

Well everyone- remember what is being celebrated-- the birth of the Peace Maker-- the Preacher of Love and Forgiveness,.

Remember to rein in that temper, learn to be patient, take your time, allow for long lines and relax.

Remember friends, family and those that have died.
It is not a holiday of giving gifts, it is a holiday of celebration.
Remember those who have nothing.
It is a holiday of practicing what the Bible teaches--peace, love and hope.

Read Matthew 25; 34-46-- This is the true meaning of Christmas

Merry Christmas to all
